Our Favorite Fall Food (Recipes)
When the summer turns to fall, it is time to break out some of the ‘cooler weather’ recipes. The authors and staff at GHP have complied a list of their favorites.

A nice, warm meal
Shanna loves lasagna, specifically the Jamie Oliver recipe for Lasagna found HERE. It looks delicious!

1 pound ground turkey
1 jalapeno (from a jar works too)
1 onion
3 cubes bouillabaisse
2 cans corn
1 can kidney beans
1 can white beans
2 tbsp cayenne pepper (although i use 3 tbsp b/c we like things hot)
6 oz can of tomato paste
8 to 12 oz of diced or crushed tomatoes
*Cook the turkey, add sliced onion and jalapeno, cook until browned. add everything else and about a cup or two of water, heat to boiling, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20 minutes.

1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shortening/butter/or margarine
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. pumpkin

Cream sugar, shortening and egg – Blend in vanilla and

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Frosting: (I hardly ever make the frosting. The cookies don’t last long enough.)

1/4 c. milk
powdered sugar

Mix brown sugar/milk/butter and boil for 3 minutes Remove
from heat and add powdered sugar to thicken frosting to your preference. Spread frosting on cookies or spoon generously into mouth.
